Yesterday the VESTING Board ’21-’22 was announced. If you are interested in learning a bit more about them, read their personal introductions in this article.

Chairman

Dear VESTING Members, my name is Julian Jager and I will be the chairman of the VESTING Board 2021-2022. For those who don’t know me that well yet, let me introduce myself. I am 21 years old and a third-year student EOR. At VESTING, I have been active for several years by doing the Introduction Weekend Committee in my first year, the Conference Committee in my second year and currently doing the International Programme Committee. I am also a second-year member of Albertus and every Sunday, I can be found on the fields of Forward. Next to playing football during the weekends, I can always enjoy a game of football from my hometown club SC Cambuur or a race in Formula 1. I’m really looking forward to next year and hope to see you back soon at the VK!

Treasurer

Hi VESTING Members! My name is Daphne and I will be the Treasurer of the VESTING Board 2021-2022. For those of you who don’t know me yet, I will shortly introduce myself. Currently, I’m 22 years old and I am a third-year econometrics student. The last two-and-a-halve years I have done multiple committees at VESTING: the Sports Committee, Freshmen Symposium Committee, Conference Committee and the International Programme Committee. Besides this, I am a member of Albertus Magnus. On Sundays, you can find me in front of the TV watching Formula One (which often ends in disappointment, since I’m a big Sebastian Vettel fan). Although I’m not the most sportive member of VESTING, I do enjoy playing tennis and skiing. I hope to see you all soon!

Secretary

Dear VESTING members, my name is Casper de Vries and I am excited to become the Secretary of the VESTING Board 2021-2022. I am 20 years old and I am a third-year econometrics student. I was born in Soest and I am the oldest of a family with four boys. My hobbies are football and watching Formula 1. Furthermore, I am a member of Albertus Magnus and I like to go to the gym. Currently, I’m also in the International Programme Committee, which hopefully can go through this year, and I am currently in my second year as a member of the Magazine Committee. In my first year as a student, I also was a part of the Activity Committee.  I’m really looking forward to being a member of the VESTING Board 2021-2022 and I am sure that this will be an amazing year!

Internal Affairs

Dear VESTING Members, I am Marnix Peek and I will be the Internal Affairs Coordinator of the VESTING Board 2021-2022. For those who don’t know me yet, I would like to introduce myself. I am 20-years old and I am a third year EOR-student. I have been active in multiple committees at VESTING. In my first year I joined the Weekend Trip Committee and the Introduction Weekend Committee. In my second year I joined the Lustrum Committee which will be organized in February 2021! Besides being active at VESTING, I also joined the student association Albertus Magnus in my second year. Furthermore, I am a huge football fan and especially for FC Utrecht. I also play football at the Knickerbockers. I’m looking forward to being a member of the new VESTING Board and I hope to see you all soon at the VK and at our activities/socials.

External Affairs

Dear VESTING members, my name is Hugo Smid and I will be the External Affairs Coördinator of the VESTING Board 2021-2022! For the ones that do not know me yet, allow me to introduce myself. I am 21 years old and a third-year EOR student. Within VESTING, in my first year I was a member of the Weekend Trip Committee. Last year I shortly did the Freshmen Symposium Committee and at the moment I am a member of the Conference Committee. Besides my studies and VESTING, I also joined student association Albertus Magnus in my second year. I like to spend my winters on the ski slopes, preferably in Hinterglemm where I have been a ski- and snowboard instructor for three years. Since I am originally from Groningen, I also like to spend my spare time with my “thuisthuis” friends. I am really looking forward to the coming year, and hope to see you all soon at the VK!

Public Relations Coordinator

Dear VESTING Members. With excitement, I would like to announce that I will be the next Public Relations Coordinator of the 2021-2022 VESTING Board. In this way, I would like to introduce myself a little bit. My name is Maaike Glastra, 20 years old and currently a third-year EOR student. Within VESTING, I joined the Sports Committee in 2018, which I really enjoyed and which raised my enthusiasm for VESTING. In 2019 I became a member of the Introduction Weekend Committee and in 2020 a member of the Hitchhiking Committee. Next to the study and VESTING related activities, I have an obsessional love towards dogs, hamsters, and all other furry sweet animals. I also like to try new recipes, have speciality-beer-evenings with friends and I am a huge fan of board games. Besides, I also really enjoy spending Wednesday evenings together with my “Year-Club”. I am very much looking forward to continuing my involvement in VESTING by becoming a member of the new VESTING Board. Pretty sure it will be a fantastic year!

We are very happy with our new candidate board and we are sure VESTING will be in safe hands the upcoming year.
